Well, I'm stressed about leaving for Kingston, obviously, but other than that there's nothing new in my life that merits this kind of reaction.
My doctor dignosed me with mono six weeks back; I've been sleeping during the day a lot but I think I'm getting better - I'm up ten hours a day from six.
But now, the big thing is my fear of sleep. I can nap during the day, but at night I'm terrified. I put off going to bed until I can't stay vertical anymore. And when I do wake up from these things, I have to be quiet 'cause Ein works early early and he really needs his sleep, he's always tired. So I've been posting a lot. Silver lining, I guess.

Whoa Jade those are some serious nightmares, I'm almost scared to go to sleep just reading about them. Sometimes if you've been sick it can do funny things to your brain too. I seem to manage to forget my worst nightmares eventually so I can't remember many but once I did ring my sister in the middle of the night as I was so convinced something bad like a car accident had happened to her. And I had cried for what seemed like ages. But she was OK.
I also stayed pretty much glued to my dog for a few days after watching The Ring as well, I left her inside at night and even made sure she was in the same room as me if I was at home alone just in case something nasty came for me.
If you have an oilburner a mix of orange lavender and Marjoram seem to do a pretty good knockout job.
I hope you get a better sleep tonight.
You know they've relaunched Carebears.

I'm going to hope that the fact that she didn't post means things went well.
I've had bad dreams, but I don't remember any of them. I don't know when it happened, but somewhere along the line I just rationalized that if I just went back to sleep in a different position after having a bad dream I will change the dream. It works for me, but then again I've always had good control over my dreams. I can usually realize I'm dreaming and then take control of the dream.

Well, I got a whole hour longer in today. Maybe I'm getting better.
And I've gone from specific killing to general, all purpose killing. This one was kind of like a Midas touch except people just turned grey and died, frozen solid where they stood, and of course Ein was the first to go when I got up this morning, thinking I was actually awake. Nothing like murdering your fiance!
*sighs*
My earl grey consumption has skyrocketed to the point where my hands shake, although they might be doing that of their own accord.
Dammit.

*hugs* Hope it passes you by soon, Jadian.
My wife has these detailed nightmares like you although not as frequent. She's actually woken up crying. The worst dreams I've had was one in high school about a friend of mine killing herself as I stood by not being able to do anything about it, and another about one of the kids being kidnapped (but eventually recovered). The earliest dream I remember having was when I was a little kid (or however old I was; I was a little kid in the dream) and I went to this very little room that served only to house the washing machine and a few shelves and found this female vampire with a stake in her. (Think the 70's Vampirella comics.) And I took the stake out and she started waking up then I put it back in. Took it out, she started waking up, put it back in. Did that a few times before I woke up.

I just don't get why we've evolved/been created so that we fell intense fear when sleeping. Is it supposed to keep our instincts to fight/flight sharp or something?
At least it's past six here, I can go down to the coffeeshop and sit with people; the sun just came up. It isn't as bad when I wake up to a lightening sky. Ein will be up in half an hour too, he's got used to me being up before him, although he points out that I could be using this time constructively to make him breakfast...

I have the dream about Oakley being kidnapped or confiscated, disappearing mysteriously, or me forgetting him somewhere two or three times a month. Hate that one.
Sorry about your subconscious, Jadian. Have you tried singing the theme to the 1960s Incredible Hulk cartoon to yourself as a lullaby? Try it some time:
"Doc Bruce Banner,
Belted by Gamma Rays
Turns into the Hulk!
(Ain't he unglamo-rays!)
Wreckin' the town with
The power of a bull!
Ain't no monster clown,
Who is that loveable?
The ever lovin' Hulk!
Hulk!
HULK!"
I think it would be hard to have a nightmare with that song in your brain, but I could be wrong.
take care
